About installing a hard start pack
On my fridge, I noticed that the old relay/overload is marked "1/4 115". If this means 1/4 HP and 115 V, then I believe the compressor is 1/4 HP. Is this the only spec I need to buy a hard start pack from my local appliance parts house? Is there a quality brand that stands out in your opinion?
As far as I know there is only one manufacturer of these devices. And yes, if you know your compressor is 1/4 hp this is all you need to know. Try part number RCO-410.
