Here is an example of some the information you get about door repairs from The Fridge Doctor Book:

The door's purpose and functioning of course is obvious, but one small defect can develop that may be overlooked. In order for your refrigerator to function correctly, the gasket must seal all around after each and every closing. When the door leaks it can happen for many reasons such as slipped hinges, a cracked liner, or a twisted door. The important thing to understand about the functioning of the door is that it is the liner itself that keeps the door straight. As mentioned in Section Four, a leaking door gasket can lead to many technical problems for your refrigerator. Even the smallest leak should be taken seriously and repaired as soon as possible.
