Frequently Asked Questions About Domestic Refrigerator Repair:
What does a leak in the door seal cause inside the cabinet?
I am not sure if I can ask questions through email or not but here it goes. I have a Frigidaire frost free fridge/freezer that is about two years old (roughly). I know one problem is the seal to the fridge door is no good and am going to replace it soon. (it has two spots that aren't connecting well to the frame of the fridge)…
You probably don't need a new seal, just an adjustment.
…but our main concern is that the freezer is supposed to be frost free and for the last couple months it is accumulating frost of the soft fluffy kind and an occasional chunk of ice. mostly near the opening and it seems to cling to everything in the front and on the door. what could cause this?
The air leak of the seal. Air will come in and the moisture in this air causes the frost to accumulate at that place.
I really can't afford a new fridge or expensive repairs. I hope you can help.
