Long time to make ice and small cubes

I have a question regarding an ice maker in a Kenmore refrigerator. it takes a very long time to make ice and it's quantity is small. what could be wrong? Thanks,

If it is the common design that Kenmore uses (I don't know how old it is), underneath the front cover there should be an adjustment for the cube size. Perhaps yours is set too low for your water volume to the unit. Or, is the filter (if present) clogged?
