Frequently Asked Questions About Domestic Refrigerator Repair:
Reservoir cleaned with bleach now can’t get rid of taste
Our water coming out of the fridge had become gunky and my husband had the bright idea of flushing the line with bleach. Now we have bleach water in our water reservoir tank located inside the fridge! How do we fix this dilemma?
You likely have to install a new reservoir. Not too hard a job but since it's not done that often the part may need to be factory ordered. Oh yes and this time consider installing a water filter in your home that filters the drinking water and the water to your refrigerator. I find the two stage removable cartridge type under the kitchen sink works the best. Perhaps this just may be coincidence but since we had one in our home we've noticed not as many colds and flues. The stand-alone filters specifically for the refrigerator are sometimes a nuisance to replace and it ends up not getting done as often as it should.
