Fridge freezer keeps thawing then freezing again

My name is Tracey I have a problem with my refrigerator it in a general electric no frost number on it is TBXK17K. The problem is that the freezer keeps freezing then thawing out again. Do you have any idea that I can try? Would appreciate any help you can give. Haven’t used it in awhile but would like to start. Thank you

Hi Tracy, It sounds to me like one of the following 3:

poor power- do you have it plugged in with a long extension cord?

overheating- the compressor overheats from poor air circulation, a cooling fan (if present) stopped

or a bad starter- these can be replaced with a hard-start pack, sometimes called a booster, to solve such problems if none of the above applies. If none of the above, my book has an article that shows you or someone mechanically inclined that you get to help you, do this. If interested in doing it yourself let me know.
