Does the freezer on bottom design have any flaws?

I am buying a new frig - I would like to have the freezer on the bottom. Is this a bad thing, given the way the frig portion is usually cooled from the freezer portion? What is the down side to the freezer on the bottom? Thanks a lot,

No these are designed to work this way and there have been no flaws I’m aware of. Actually this concept is not new, there was a number of models made in the 60's with the freezer on the bottom and some of them are still working in the area I work in, (with my help). The folks that owned them liked them so much they got me to overhaul them. Anyway...Right now there are 3 companies making these, GE, Maytag, and Amana.
