No water inside but on floor was brown at one time

Hello! I stumbled upon your site today, in an effort to answer a question- maybe once a day, there is a small puddle of water near the fridge (one time it was dark brown, and stayed very near the bottom of the fridge), and I'm wondering if this is something I need to inform my landlord about. the fridge, other than that, is operating just fine. thanks for your help.

You didn't mention what kind or design of refrigerator it is, so I'll assume it's a frost free of some kind. If this is the case it sounds like you have a cracked tray (some designs) at the bottom or the drain hose is out of position. If it was brown one time I would guess it is the former as sediment can build up in these trays.
