Water on the floor, happens more in humid weather

The unit goes through a regular defrost cycle every 6 to 8 hours and melts frost off the freezer coils that needs to be evaporated back into the air in your kitchen via this tray placed near the compressor
as a source of heat.
The reason you find more in humid weather is that more frost results in this condition that is removed by the defrost system.
