Frequently Asked Questions About Domestic Refrigerator Repair:
Water on the shelf, glass shelf design
We have a Hotpoint refrigerator model #CTF19GCB. We live in San Diego, CA. We get water on the shelves. It usually forms under objects that I have on the shelves.
Your problem is that either one of the fittings or the pipe at back for the defrost drain system is clogged. Since you have glass shelves it gives a confusing appearance. The water that spills from the drain cup during the automatic defrost cycle stays on them and gets under items stored on them. You just need to clean and flush the drain system.
