Water problem returns 4 weeks after let it thaw out

Amana model TJ18MW No water in defrost collection pan, but water drips through slots in the top of the refrigerator compartment. Turned unit off for 24 hours and installed a new defrost timer motor. Water did collect in pan while unit was off but problem started over in about 4 weeks.

I'm not certain so you could look on the wiring diagram at the back, to see if this one has a drain trough heater on it. Sounds like it is burnt out. The heater is supposed to prevent this from happening. Replacing it is very difficult on an Amana design though. If there is no heater present sometimes it can mean a partial restriction. The orifice in the drain trough can have a bit of plastic in it or perhaps a pea? Check for this after you have it thawed.
