Frequently Asked Questions About Domestic Refrigerator Repair:

Fridge moved on its side runs constantly

Just bought a used fridge. Transported it on it's side and it won't stop running. Did a search and found your site, read that this was a no no...Any clues for me on what to look at before I call in a repair person?

You didn't mention for how long it was plugged in, if it is getting cold at all, or what kind of refrigerator it is. Anyway, if you just plugged it in, it may take a few hours to cool off the insulation so that it cycles. If it doesn't get cold at all the filter may be oil-saturated, in which case you will have to get a new one installed.

In Canada, where I live, this usually costs 80 to 100 dollars, but you may want to phone around a bit. Although, if it is in fact cooling at all, the moving it on it's side didn't cause the problem you’re having. You may have a different problem.
