Moved on side now not working
Hello there, I have a problem I had to move a fridge a long way in heavy traffic and had to lay it down. when I got home and waited 24 hours it would not get cold. the fan and compressor are working but it does not get cold. do you have any suggestion that I might try. I 'm a pretty good do it yourselfer. I would like to try to fix it my self. I have unplugged it and waited 24 hours again but no luck. please help,
It sounds to me like you have an oil saturated gas dryer. I know of no other way to repair it other than replacement of this device.
Unfortunately this is not a problem you can deal with unless you're certified by the EPA to handle refrigerants and have the equipment to do so.

Where I live in Canada it costs $120 to $150 but that could vary greatly depending on your locality. Best phone around in your city to get accurate data with which to make this decision.
