Mini fridge not cooling, anything I can do?
I have a mini-fridge that I want to bring to college. However, it does not work. I plugged it in and I can hear something running but the inside does not get cold. If you could give me a few tips on areas I could check to repair or how to repair it, I would be very grateful. Thank you very much.
Sorry to give you the bad news, but if a unit like this runs but doesn't cool, it means a hermetic system problem, ie;
Low on refrigerant because of a leak, compressor runs but doesn't pump, or oil restricted system. All of these are not repairable unless you're a technician with the equipment, and certification.
These little ones aren't too expensive new though. Why not go that way, then sell it after or keep it as your own beer fridge.
