Odor from drip pan

I have an old refrigerator that is starting to smell. The drip pan on the bottom is getting dirty, smelly water in it. How can I stop this from smelling? Any suggestions? Chad

If the odor is coming from the drip pan you should wash it out and place a sponge in it soaked with vanilla (not artificial)
