How to tell if a compressor is running

had an incident where there was water on the floor in the laundry where
freezer was placed. now there is condensation on the door of it and I think
it's off or something? how can I make sure its on?

If you listen really closely you should be able to hear it running.
Also you should be able to feel that the compressor itself is warm to the touch and you
should be able to notice a slight vibration
