Stuck ice cube causes overflow

The Amana refrigerator (from the freezer portion) was making a funny
noise. So I opened the freezer and the ice maker had an ice cube stuck and
water was running into the ice cube bin. Once the ice cube was dislodged the
water stopped running. Should I have anything checked out for repair or get
a new icemaker. Before this it would make an occasional noise due to an ice
cube getting lodged in the rotator.

You could try turning down the cube size. Smaller cubes are just as
effective as you just use more of them. There should be an adjustment under
the front cover. If this doesn't help the situation you may need to replace
the head as a malfunctioning ice head can make a heck of a mess while you're
off on vacation.
