Installing an ice maker in a deep freeze

I am toying with the idea of putting an ice maker in a chest type freezer.
I have not been able to find an icemaker kit that includes everything. They
generally have the plug that plugs into the internal wiring of the freezer
compartment. Any ideas??

And your fridge doesn't have the plug? No problem these can be wired in to
the existing circuit, not a job for someone that hasn't done wiring though.
The wiring diagram for the new ice makers that come in kits is under the
front cover of the ice maker head. However you may find section 8
of my book extremely helpful.

Your input is extremely helpful!

Hundreds of people visit these pages daily looking for information about household refrigeration equipment. Dissatisfied with a particular model or company? Solved a particular problem? Let us know. Even the smallest detail can help so many people.

For example, let us know that your particular refrigerator model had a burnt out freezer fan motor one month after the warrantee expired, then everyone knows that a fan failure on that model is a distinct possibility.
