Need a handle part for a vintage design

Need a refrigerator handle for a 1950's model International Harvester. Any ideas? Vickie

You probably won't find one of those unless you try at your local shops that recondition used refrigerators.

An alternative is to install a Magna-Latch. You disable the original mechanism, then the two pieces of the latch hold the door together. This device is mounted on the outside of the cabinet.

I haven’t seen any of these around lately so perhaps they are no longer made. You could try at some of the local appliance parts stores in your area though.
