If you have a problem with a domestic refrigerator or freezer you want to solve and save your household quite a sum of money, your chances of finding the solution here are better then any other place on the entire internet, so you're in the right place.

What will you find here?
This site is based on the worlds best book on domestic refrigeration available today. The many articles and the most extensive FAQ on this subject to date are accessible from the top navigation buttons. You can turn on all articles, trouble shooting charts, and FAQ here for a very nominal sum and if your still having trouble you can get help by email.

Why a nominal sum?
Is anything ever free, and if it is, is it worth it? Unlike online parts stores that give you free diagnostic advice in the hope that you buy parts from them, this site is totally unbiased. Your support goes toward improving this site which in turn helps other homeowners save money in their households.

In certain situations ordering your part online may be convenient, but if you want to get the right part the first time without waiting for 2 or 3 days, it may still be best to save yourself the shipping and handling charges, and go to your local appliance parts store in person.

Here's an email we received recently that illustrates this point:

Dear Mr. Yuzik,

I wish we would have found your site first, we first got our information from (name withheld). From what the guy at the parts counter told us we ordered a new control. After waiting for 3 days using a cooler for our food while the frig started to smell, my husband put in the new part. When we plugged it in again it still wouldn't work!! Out of frustration we phoned a local repair company and got a service call. The technician found it was something in the wiring, so we didn't need that new part. We sent back the part which cost us more postage again, and guess what? It came back and they charged us the shipping and handling again!! Apparently installed electrical parts are not returnable.......

So when you're looking for information about a repair, perhaps it's best not to get it from someone who wants to sell you a part.
