Welcome to a totally new addition to this web space. Since we've been told by so many people how helpful it is to be able to read answers to previous questions in our FAQ, we decided to start a much more interactive facility called a forum, where anyone reading a question or answer can participate in the dialog, even years after the first part of the first thread was written.
At present this feature is just getting started so there is not as much information here as in our previous FAQ, but we're working on this and more information is being added weekly.
This forum is moderated by an experienced refrigeration technician and technical writer so you can rely on the fact that anything posted here has been thoroughly scrutinized against false opinions, misconceptions, or hearsay.

Hundreds of people visit these pages daily looking for information about household refrigeration equipment. Dissatisfied with a particular model or company? Solved a particular problem? Let us know. Even the smallest detail can help so many people.
For example, let us know that your particular refrigerator model had a burnt out freezer fan motor one month after the warrantee expired, then everyone knows that a fan failure on that model is a distinct possibility.
